It is no news of the gridlock created by a flood in Lokoja. The flood had overtaken major roads in Ajaokuta, Lokoja and Koton Karfe Local Councils of Kogi State, thereby making vehicular movement from or through Lokoja to Abuja almost impossible, thereby creating a hardship on motorists.
The flood impact along the Lokoja-Abuja expressway has informed a re-route in the operations of Akwa Ibom Transport Company, AKTC, for buses plying Uyo - Lagos - Uyo and Uyo - Abuja - Uyo.
