Akwa Ibom Transport Company Limited (AKTC) was established in 2001 and operated by Akwa Ibom State Government but later leased to Nsik Motors Limited after wining the bid among others transport companies in October 2005.
Nsik Motors Limited has maintained the lease till date as a result of its excellent performance and high service delivery standard which the lessor (the State Government) is duly appreciative and therefore approved its continuity of the lease.
